A raw unfiltered, funny, exploration of the stories that shape us. Like sitting by the fire with good company while you do the washing up, or late at night when you are listening with the moon.
What is it?
Mooney’s Mythic Podcast is my weekly fireside wandering through mythology, folklore, seasonal living, and the creative life. Sometimes I tell ancient tales, sometimes I chat with fellow artists and storytellers, sometimes I just muse on what’s alive in the moment. It’s intentionally raw and unedited – the messy, beautiful creative process out loud.
I often have guests on – artists and collaborators I’ve worked with over the years – exploring where storytelling and performance intersect, what it means to be alone on stage, and how characters sometimes wander into stories with opinions about where the narrative should go next (usually telling me to give up).
